Session Buddy - Banner One of the things that I miss the most when I use Chrome instead of Firefox is its ability to save open tabs when I close or restart the browser, and to know reliably that if the browser crashes, my session would be saved so I can go right back to work when I open it again. Google Chrome has some basic session saving that's hit or miss on browser crashes and doesn't offer you the ability to save your open tabs when you close the browser.
Enter Session Buddy, a Chrome extension that provides more predictable and more functional tab and session management. The extension also reliably saves your session when Chrome crashes, but it also allows you to choose when your session is saved, re-open a previously saved session with a few clicks, or modify saved sessions.

Google has announced plans to eliminate unique IDs in Google Chrome due to privacy concerns.

"Supplementing other measures to improve the browser's reputation for data protection, in a white paper on Chrome data protection, Google has announced that it will in future delete the token once Google Chrome runs and checks for updates the first time," according to The H Security. "From version 4.1, the allegedly anonymous ID will only be used to report successful installation of the browser to Google."

"This step is largely symbolic, as Chrome has never attempted to identify users using the client ID, which is reassigned each time the browser is updated," the article states.
